Named for a snow-capped Italian town known for the consummate skills of its stone cutters and the exquisiteness of its pasta, Alfedena Gallery honors both of these traditions by treating its guests to a full immersion in the best of the visual and culinary arts. Located in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant River North gallery and restaurant district, just five-minutes west of the city’s Magnificent Mile and Gold Coast, and one block north of the Ohio Street exit ramp of the Kennedy Expressway, Alfedena Gallery is a distinct, 5,000 square foot contemporary architectural space that welcomes guests from its street level Ontario Street entrance into a light-filled, dramatic interior that spans three levels of a vintage loft building. Designed to provide optimum viewing of art works created by At Alfedena Gallery food is viewed as a necessary ingredient in nurturing the creative experience. The kitchen’s large demonstration mirror offers opportunities for guests to become active participants in the kitchen. From corporate team-building exercises to intimate cooking classes inspired by an artist’s exhibition, Alfedena’s kitchen and culinary staff offers innovative options for event planning. FAQ about Alfedena Events How do I schedule an event? It’s easy. Call or email and give us some basic information about your event---number of people, date, type of event. One of our events staff will contact you to answer additional questions. Do I have to rent all three of the galleries? Rent only the gallery space that you need. You have the option of renting multiple galleries, and even the kitchen, depending on the scope of your event. Each space has a specific capacity and rental fee that our events staff can provide you with. We encourage you to visit Alfedena Gallery to see what is possible for your event. How much notice is required for a reservation? For some events, one week's notice is all that is needed. We also will take reservations up to eight months in advance. We can only guarantee a reservation once you have completed our rental agreement that our staff will supply you with. Do I need to make a down payment to reserve the space? Yes, to ensure our scheduling commitments we require a non-refundable deposit returned with the rental agreement. The gallery accepts corporate and private checks, as well as major credit cards. Do you work with specific caterers? Yes, we work with an exceptional group of caterers that can fulfill the varied culinary needs of corporations, non-profit groups, and private clients. What times are available for an event? We are flexible in accommodating events Monday through Sunday. Does the gallery provide parking? If your guests desire valet service, we can arrange this. What type of art work will be on display during my event? Alfedena Gallery’s exhibition schedule is set a year in advance so we are able to share with you a preview of the artist’s work that will be on display. We can also provide information on the artist and artwork so your guests can fully appreciate the gallery experience. Can additional decorations be brought into the gallery? Alfedena Gallery’s exhibitions offer exceptional environments for events. We ask that guests respect the galleries as exhibitions space by not installing additional decorations on the gallery walls. If you have specific decorations needs we will be happy to recommend a florist or caterer that can accommodate your needs. Is smoking allowed in the gallery? Alfedena Gallery is a smoke free environment. |
